The Plan (version 2009) & Other Musings
I am going to follow Hal Higdon's Advanced training program for the half marathon on April 26, 2009. That means training officially starts on Feb. 2. I can always bump it down, but I cannot bump it up, if I start at the Intermediate level.
So, today, I am waiting on pins and needles hoping to have news from Gretchen. The news itself will have to come from her. So go bug her about it, mkay?
N is back to school today. Thank goodness! Major kudos go to W, who took off most of the last three weeks to hang with N. Early last week, we registered N for a 3 day, 2 hr/day soccer camp at the indoor soccer facility. It was good to get him out of the house and running every day. W was able to work 1/2 a day, I brought N to work with me, my FIL took him to camp, W picked him up, then they played the balance of the day.
So my QOTD for you is this - did you ever obsess over your child's milestones? Did you obsess over the second child's (if applicable) as much as the first child's?

I have worried a bit about milestones with the 2nd, but wouldn't say I've obsessed. I did obsess somewhat with the 1st, but she was always ahead, so there wasn't much to obsess about. With the 2nd, she has also been ahead in all physical milestones, but the (lack of) language - understandable language, that is, does concern me a bit. I wish I could understand her language :)

Ha - as soon as I know what's going on...
I'm 95% sure I'll be doing the run. Though count me on Higdon's "Novice" program...
I am doing the novice and my race is the same weekend, we'll have to compare notes!
Good luck at OKC...I'll be there in spirit!
Higdon's programs hurt. A lot.
Good luck with it!
