Movie Review Wednesday
We have seen a few movies lately - at long last, after having kept them from Netflix for nearly two months.
The Departed - 3 out of 5 - Leonardo DiCaprio shows why he is considered to be a great actor. I am not a fan of The Titanic, but I did appreciate his performance. After seeing him in Gangs of New York alongside the incomparable Daniel Day-Lewis, I was impressed. This movie showcases DiCaprio's talent amongst some heavy-weights such as Jack Nicholson, Marky-Mark (ha!), Matt Damon. Frankly, the movie lacked any emotional pull with the exception of DiCaprio's performance. However, I do recommend it for a good movie night. Definitely not for children.
The Darwin Awards - 4+ out of 5 - Joseph Fiennes shows he can portray a geeky man who errs on the side of safety to an extreme point. Winona Ryder is good and it is nice to see her back. She is cute than ever, too. We had this one since late September - I have no idea why it took us so long to watch, but I regret it. It is very good - highly recommended.

I want to see both of those!
I'm putting both of those in my queue.
Right now, I'm getting through "The Sopranos" - as we don't have HBO.
Blood Diamonds was one of the most profound, thought provoking movies we seen in a while. Dad
I watched Music & Lyrics last week and it was just okay. I have We are Marshall now, maybe for the plane tomorrow.
