Results - Men's Olympic Marathon Trials
A moment of remembrance for Ryan Shay, who collapsed around 5.5 miles into the U.S. Men's Olympic Marathon trials on Saturday, then died. He was an amazing runner and person. Per his father, Ryan had been diagnosed with a larger than normal heart and his resting heart rate was as low as 25 bpm. His death is tragic and a great loss to the sport.
The men's marathon trials has given the U.S. distance running hope in the form of the three runners who qualified to represent the U.S. in Beijing, Ryan Hall, Dathan Ritzenheim, and Brian Sell. It was an emotion-filled day.
