    Camping

My parents left Golden on March 4 on a road trip. They took their little orange T@B trailer and headed to California by way of New Mexico, Arizona and the lower end of Nevada. It's the cutest little thing you ever saw, but really rather small.

I have been talking to them about once/week, making sure they are okay and still having fun. They are. I'm not sure I could spend 4+ weeks in the little trailer, cute as it is, without going to a hotel once/week. But they have remained with the trailer, getting out and about every day and spending time with friends, at the beach, etc.

I grew up with a tent trailer and going into the mountains during the summer. I have fond memories of cooking hotdogs over a campfire, sleeping in the beds, seeing stars filled with endless stars. I would like to have this with our children, but W is not the outdoorsy, camping type. I hope to convince him otherwise. Perhaps it is because the bugs and humidity here make doing anything outdoors in the summer unappealing.

That is cute, but I a girl needs a real shower and bed every so often. A friend of ours built (from a kit) a trailer like that. They get lots and lots of comments and questions about it.

I can't even begin to tell you how jealous I am. I love, love, love that trailer and think that it would be perfect to tow with my VW Beetle. Someday.

4 weeks would be more than this high maintenance girl could take! I have tent camped and could do without it but I think a little pop-up for weekend trips would be great fun.

    That camper is SO cute!

We're going to attempt camping this summer. I will be sure to email you how it went when we come back to shatter any images you have of the four of you singing Kumbaya around the campfire....

You're not kidding - that thing is extremely cute! Agree with Joansy, how adorable would it be behind a VW bug?!
