Hump Day
Today I did hill repeats, as part of my spring training schedule. I live in a relatively hilly neighborhood, so when I run outside, I am guaranteed to run hills. It has seemed sufficient hill work that I never deliberately ran hill repeats before.
It was raining this morning, so it was treadmill running for me. On the behest of Mr. Higdon, I set out and did 5 x 400m hill repeats (or 5 x 1/4 mi repeats), with 1/4 mi easy run between. Started and ended with 1/2 mi. In all, it was 3.25 mi in 31 min. Not fast, but it wasn't about speed today. Incline was 5% and speed was 6.2 mph for repeats.
As I sit here, typing, I can feel different parts of my legs. It was challenging.
And, now, for something cute, because I have not posted a new pic in - oh, maybe a week?
