Words Cannot Express How I Feel

I am sitting here at my desk in my office full of emotions today.

A good friend is just beginning her battle against breast cancer.
Another friend made one of the most difficult decisions a mother could possibly make about her child.
Another friend's husband has a severely degenerative disease and was fired without cause.
Another friend's boyfriend's daughter is fighting for her life while he can only attempt to make her comfortable.

The common thread is that all of these friends are friends via the internet. Imagine having the power and positive thinking of 60 women when you need it the most. Imagine that it is all via electronic exchange. Imagine that we have known each other for six years or more and that we all communicate as much or as little as our daily lives allow. Imagine that we have been through deaths, marriages, divorces, births, new jobs, celebrations and memorials for each other.

I wish I could be there in person for each and everyone one of my friends when they need it the most. I feel helpless that I cannot.

You are blessed Tree. I know the feeling. I joined an internet mom's group in Nov 1995 and we are still going strong. Just knowing that the August moms are sending Good Vibrations to my dad during his heart surgery tomorrow is a huge comfort.
May your internet friends find peace and healing in their hours of need.
