Resolutions
I do not habitually make NY resolutions, but I do find it a good time to reflect upon those things that require my attention and to formulate a few goals for myself for the next year. So, here they are for 2008.
Catch up at work and keep caught up - this is a biggie as W has told me he will handle dropoff and pickup duties over the next month until my group and I can catch up with the financials and start to get on top of it all. To that end, I did hire two new people for my department and I hope that they will start to contribute quickly.
Maintain fitness and weight - I made major strides last year with my running and my weight, thanks to breastfeeding, in part. I hope to maintain both this year by focusing on race goals and by improving my eating habits. The last year, I was able to eat anything and everything because my metabolism was ramped so high. I stopped BF in October and have thankfully seen a drop in my appetite.
Work / family balance - given the first goal, it will then be time to focus on meeting the needs of my family as well. This is wrapped together because W and I work together and if I am not doing a good job at work, then it is brought home and the home life suffers.
Nothing major, but just keeping myself busy at work and busy at home.
