Julie at Mothergoosemouse is expecting her third child, a boy, after having two delightful girls. Mayberry Mom and Motherhood Uncensored have conspired for an online baby shower.
My little boy - not so little any longer at 72 pounds and 51 inches or so - was not necessarily "planned," much like your little one. But how does one plan for a child, anyway? Least of all, a boy so full of energy and love? One simply opens one's heart and lets the laughter ring.
Gosh. I am wracking my brain and memories to try to come up with some unique words of wisdom or a cute anecdotal story that is not trite. I guess the only thing I can say is that he is awesome. He can be challenging and exhausting, but he can also be the sweetest thing. When your son seems like he no longer needs his mom and he has grown incredibly independent, there will be a moment when he calls you "mommy" again and you want to hold onto that moment forever.

T, I've loved hearing your stories about your big boy ever since you and I "met". He's such a neat kid - and no wonder, given how fantastic his mommy is!
Knowing Julie and family, I am sure they will take your advice to "let laughter ring" to heart.
