Why We Run

"We come here to remember those who were killed, those who survived and those changed forever. May all who leave here know the impact of violence. May this memorial offer comfort, strength, peace, hope and serenity."
The Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum was created to honor those who were killed, those who survived and those changed forever by the 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City. The Memorial and Museum are dedicated to educating visitors about the impact of violence, informing about events surrounding the bombing, and inspiring hope and healing through lessons learned by those affected.
This is why we run.
We run to Remember Those Who Were Lost.
We run to Celebrate The Gift Of Life.
We run to Reach For A Future bright with hope.
Please take a moment today and pause to reflect on these things.

I have been toying with the idea of running the 1/2 marathon on the 29th. I ran the inaugural marathon relay while pregnant with Nathan. I ran the 1/2 marathon 2 years ago. I would like to make this an annual tradition.
With the tragedy at Virginia Tech, our troops in the Middle East, I would like to run in memory of all those who have died before their time.
