Small Successes
I believe one should celebrate mini-successes. I am all about positive reinforcement and can barely tolerate negativity.
We are way behind on closing the books for the various companies (count it now up to 13) that we "manage" or at least keep the books on. One of the companies is actually a tribally owned company and our books are the ones they use, even though they have a CPA firm that actually cuts the checks, etc. But our company is the project management for all of their projects, so we have all the invoices, billings, contracts, etc. I needed to get January and February financial statements out ASAP for them. Particularly January, seeing as it now March.
So, the part of the process I control is the monthly preparation of the work on hand report. This company currently has 60 projects on its books. (not a lot when compared to the big company that has well over 200 projects) I have to tie costs and sales to the general ledger. Typically, sales can be tied out easily. Costs are not so easy. My brag for the day is that I tied them both out to the penny, just moments ago. WOO HOO
Other small successes for the day include a kick-ass workout this morning - 4 mi running in 34 min and 1/2 mi walk for a cooldown.
The final small success is that I managed to not inhale any doughnuts today. Whew. Not so easy!
What is your mini-successes for the day or the week?

Congrats, finishing the books doesn't seem like such a "mini" success, sounds way bigger!
For me it was baking a pan of brownies for Gman to take to a dinner last Sunday and not eating a single one and finally throwing out 3/4 of a pan today.
Woo hoo!
I'll count my success as making it to Friday! I am ready for the weekend. and I hate being like that, but there it is!
Happy weekend, Tree!
Tree, I can TOTALLY relate to that balancing to the penny thing. I have a $8,000,000 house that I can balance to the penny over 2 years worth of draw requests. It's perverse, but it is a HUGE success for me!
