More Random Thoughts

My car is now in the shop for the next 2 weeks. I am driving Hubby's Toyota 4Runner in the interim, while he is in San Antonio. I anticipate I will be quite happy for the return of my vehicle. Although I like his vehicle, mine drives like a dream.

Thanks to Schloobie (http://schloobie.blogspot.com/), I bought Blokus at Target yesterday. We are hooked. Hubby, mastermind that he is, has won all but one game so far.

My parents are coming to my rescue next week. Son has two more weeks before school officially starts and he was with my SIL and MIL last week and he is with them this week. He tends to eat a lot of junk food while with them and they do not monitor how much crap he eats or if he is taking a handful of cookies he really does not need. They do not keep enough fruit and veggies around. This child will as soon eat an entire red pepper than a cookie, if available. But if not availble, the cookies are consumed. And my parents will adhere to my guidelines, within reason. They will also help clean out the three bedroom closets. Two of these will be combined into one closet with our house remodel. The third bedroom is the nursery and will house the stuff from the other two closets and will also be part-nursery until the house remodel is complete.

So what is this house remodel? We are adding approx. 1000 sf upstairs / downstairs. I get a new kitchen, new breakfast area, new family room, new master bedroom and master closet / bathroom suite and a new garage that will house both vehicles, not just mine. I am freaking excited. We are awaiting final drawings from architect, then will do the estimate and go to the bank. Hope to start work in late Sept / early Oct. Just in time for the baby! bwahaha We are accustomed to doing things like this. The year we married, we also bought a new house and had a baby 10 days after moving. So if things are not in an uproar, we do not know what to do with ourselves.

I need to start training some of my staff to do my duties this week. Doing so will make it seem even more real that I will have a baby sometime in the next 8-9 weeks, if not sooner. Ack!
