    Final Days Before Vacation

    Countdown to vacation = T - 49 hours

What to do before then? Art of BBQ festival tonight, son's soccer practice, playdate, birthday party, laundry, pack, shop for bday present, shop for new distractions for plane rides.

Where are we going? Jackson Hole, Wyoming - www.snakeriverlodge.com - recommended by Joansy. (y'all have to forgive me - until I get some free time and learn how to make the links in html, then it will be sort of ugly)

Agenda? We have none. How many of you travel on vacation with a jampacked agenda? How many go on vacation and just sort of do what you feel like doing each day? We fall into the latter category. Even when we go somewhere like San Diego, I think we managed to do one thing - the zoo - did not hit Sea World, Legoland, or anything else like that. But we did spend most of our days on the beach. Hubby's life is so planned around work that the only time he has without any sort of agenda is vacation. We revel in it.

We do plan on visiting Yellowstone and the Tetons. Mostly, we will relax and hike together and do tag team parenting, where one of us takes son and lets the other relax or take a nap. We do this a lot, particularly on weekends.

It looks like there are some great restaurants there, as well. We particularly enjoy eating and drinking. Unfortunately, I cannot partake of the drinking, but do look forward to the eating.

No news from me for at least a week. Likely a bit longer.

Have a great time! If you're up for it, the ski lift to the top of the mountain was a nice little trip. The ride was easy and the views were amazing. And Jackson has some great shops.

    I'm so jealous!
