Day 1.5 of Vacation
We are here and loving it! The resort is gorgeous, the Tetons phenomenal, the nice, dry air is like heaven. Although it is hot during the day, it cools rapidly when the sun sets, thus releasing pine aroma and making me utterly homesick for Colorado.
I had a kick-a$$ 5 mi run this morning at 6,500 ft of elevation. Out, I saw three hot air balloons descending. Back, I watched tandem paragliders. Not something I typically see on my treadmill or on my neighborhood runs! Even pg and at elevation, I logged it at 9:30 min/mi. Not bad for a fat pg lady. I am singularly proud of being able to run while pg and having a supportive spouse who encourages me and makes it easy for me to do so.
Son went up a climbing wall today and had a blast, followed by bungee jumping on a trampoline. I wish I wasn't pg or old. It looks like fun and something I would love to do.
We then headed on the tram and went to the top of the resort, hiked around for an hour, headed back down on the tram, listened to Marshall Tucker Band in the tram, ate lunch and had a great afternoon.
Hubby has managed to only work about 1/2 day so far between cell phone and computer time. Not bad for the first Monday of vacation. It's all about managed expectations, folks. I have low expectations where this is concerned, so am pleasantly surprised at the end of the day.
My favorite thing besides the dry air, the smell of pines? Locally made Moo's organic blackberry sorbet. Pure heaven.

sounds absolutely wonderful!! and I love how we get to hear about it while you are still there.

i keep checking back hoping for another on location update......will wait until you return though, sniff sniff
