Shitty Day

Clue 1 - your running shoes seem to feel tight
Clue 2 - your morning run seems 10x harder than normal
Clue 3 - your son spills milk over the kitchen countertops while pouring it into his morning cereal - you are frustrated
Clue 4 - you cannot decide which black maternity t-shirt to wear when in reality, they are all almost exactly the same
Clue 5 - your mouth is throbbing
Clue 6 - you call your ob and your dentist and arrange for an emergency root canal
Clue 7 - after aforementioned root canal, you are jamming to Red Hot Chili Peppers on the way back to the office, make a right hand turn on a green light and scrape your European SUV against the driver who made a left hand turn on a green light
Clue 8 - you return to the office, your FIL asks you a benign question and you provide a snappy answer
Clue 9 - your dh calls from San Antonio after reading your report to the insurance agent that you had a minor fender bender, he cannot understand you, you are crying, he doesn't understand that your mouth is numb, you are an emotional wreck and you just don't want to talk to anyone and he feels helpless because of course he wants to fix it
Clue 10 - your helpless dh calls his cousin to take you home and just the thought of it makes you want to cry

Some mornings are better spent in bed.
