I suspect he's napping
At daycare. The little boy has come home in the best mood all week and it is a struggle to have him asleep before 9:30 or 10 p.m. Therefore, I think he is napping. Husband's response, "well it is summer time, let's let him enjoy the sun." Great. That means we have no time in the evening together. Not that we do, anyway, so really, it's not much change, right? I am going to give it one more week, talk to his teacher on Tuesday and emphasize that I do not want him napping. Surely they can let him play in another room and surely he is not the only 4.5 yo who is way beyond a nap. Surely, Shirley.
Howdy Folks! Welcome to Golden Where The West Lives

My parents arrived moments ago in Golden, where they will now be living. I went to college in this town. I love this town. A year or two after I graduated college, Mom and Dad moved to a
gorgeous three level townhouse next to Clear Creek. Then Dad made a snap decision, unheard of for the man, and decided to move to central coast of California. They lived there for roughly 8 years, but missed Colorado, the blue sky, the people, the clear air (despite the ever present smog in downtown Denver), the aspen trees and even the snow. I miss visiting them there. I miss Golden. I had a very happy college experience and incredibly great memories of Colorado. While I will miss visiting them and wine tasting in San Luis Obispo county, I suppose we will settle for the short tour at Coors. (and for those Amazing Race fans, this was the last stop before Red Rocks for season 9)
Drumroll Please
And announcing the gender of the bump.....it's a GIRL!! I think both husband and I were hoping for another boy, but I felt in my heart that I was having a girl. I have a list of about 20 girl names. The boy name would have been easy. This girl name thing is much more difficult. It seems that naming a girl somehow imprints her future personality upon her, much moreso than a boy. We like traditional names, but also want multi-syllable as our last name is single syllable, but also want a name that can be easily shortened. And no funky spellings.

Congratulations Tree! I just KNEW it was a girl!
Are hubby and boy excited?
Yea! I just found your blog and what a great first post to read. Congrats!
so glad to hear your parents arrived! I know how excited you are to have them back there. DS never naps anymore either, but there is the mandatory rest period during school. Once in a great great while he will actually fall asleep otherwise he tells me he just "rests" and reads books...... and I'm thrilled to hear you are having a girl!!!!!!
Congratulations!!!!! Girls are wonderful!!!!
Oh, and I'm glad your parents arrived safely, and I hope the sleep issues resolve soon.
